The M-24 Chaffee was produced too late to see much action in WWII but nevertheless over 4000 were produced before the end of the war. The Chaffee’s most notable action came in 1950 when 50 M-24s were the first line of defense when the North Korean Army invaded South Korea. The M-24 was at a disadvantage compared to the Russian-built T-34s it faced but held its own until heavier reinforcements arrived.
