Halftracks were some of the most important general purpose vehicles in the German army during WWII. Although initially developed for carrying troops or towing equipment, the Sd.Kfz.7’s were also adapted for many other tasks: towing artillery, mounted with 20mm and 37mm anti-aircraft guns, and as a launch controller for V-2 rockets.
