Two classic aircraft – one incredible combo. The Boeing 737-200 was introduced to the ANA (All Nippon Airways) fleet in June, 1969. It helped the airline usher in the latest jet aircraft, replacing aging turboprop flyers like the Vickers Viscount and the Fokker F-27 Friendship. ANA stopped using the 737-200 in 1992, but other airlines still rely on it to land on rock-covered runways – something that no other jet in its class can do.
